  • Brinjal - 1
  • Green chillies - 4
  • Onion - 1
  • Curd - 3 cups
  • Salt to taste
  • Asafoetida - a pinch
  • Turmeric powder - a pinch
  • Oil for seasoning
  • Coriander leaves - 1 small bunch
  • How to Make Easy Baingan ka Bharta:

    1. Cut the brinjal so as to open like a flower and grill it on an open flame.
    2. Peel off the skin and mash the brinjal well and mix it with curd and keep it aside.
    3. Now, finely chop the chillies and onion.
    4. Heat oil, add mustard seeds, cumin, asafoetida and turmeric powder. Add finely chopped chillies and onion and saute till the onions are done.
    5. Add salt and mix the ingredients into the brinjal-curd.
    6. Add finely chopped fresh coriander leaves.
    7. Serve.
