  • Boneless chicken - 250 g
  • Onion - 4, medium sized
  • Ginger paste - 2 tbsp
  • Green chilli - a few
  • Chilli powder - 2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly ground cardamoms, cinnamons and cloves - 1 tbsp
  • Basmati rice - 400 g, half cooked and drained
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnishing

How to Make Easy Chicken Biryani

  • In a non-stick pan, add the chicken pieces, ginger paste, onion, green chilli, chilli powder and salt and cook until done.
  • Add the half-cooked rice and mix properly with the chicken.
  • Mix in the freshly ground garam masala.
  • Cover and cook until done. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve.
