Ingredients

  • For boiling:
  • 24oz - dry fruits mix (4.5 cups)
  • 1.5 cups - Sugar
  • 8oz - Butter / margarine
  • 2.25 level tsp - bicarbonate of soda
  • 1.5 cups - boiling water
  • For baking:
  • 3 cups - sifted white flour (cake flour)
  • 3 - beaten eggs
  • 2 tsp - baking powder
  • brandy

How to Make Easy Christmas Cake

  • Boil the ingredients mentioned under boiling together for 20 minutes.
  • Cool, then add the ingredients mentioned under baking.
  • Mix all, preferably with a wooden spoon or hand.
  • Bake for 1.5 to 3 hours (depending on the size of your cake tin) at 300 degrees F.
  • Sprinkle liberally with brandy after taking off from oven.
