Ingredients

  • Dried Raw Mango pieces - 7 to 8
  • Tamarind - size of a medium Lemon
  • Red Chilli - 3
  • Urad Dal - 1 tsp
  • Rice - 1 tsp
  • Pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • Mustard Seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Jeera - 1/2 tsp
  • Curry leaves - 1 sprig
  • Oil - 2 tsp
  • How to Make Easy Mango Kuzhambu:

    1. Fry red chilli, urad dal, rice and pepper.
    2. Boil mango pieces and tamarind in a little water till soft.
    3. After it cools down, grind it along with the fried ingredients to a smooth paste.
    4. Add little water to the paste and boil it, add salt.
    5. When the paste turns to a thick gravy, remove from fire.
    6. In a pan, add a little oil, mustard seeds and jeera.
    7. Pour it over the kuzhambu.
    8. Garnish it with curry leaves.
