Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg - potatoes, boiled and mashed.
  • 2 slices - bread.
  • 3 tsp - chopped coriander leaves.
  • 2 - Green chillies chopped.
  • 1/2 tsp - pepper powder.
  • 3 tbsp - bread crumbs.
  • 1/2 tsp - chopped ginger.
  • Salt to taste.
  • 1 - egg, beaten.
  • How to Make Easy Potato Patties:

    1. Soak the bread in water, squeeze and crumble.
    2. Mix with the mashed potato and all the other ingredients (except the bread crumbs and beaten eggs).
    3. Make small balls of the potato dough.
    4. Flatten and shape into patties.
    5. Dip each in the beaten egg, roll in bread crumbs and shallow fry hot oil on both sides till golden brown.
    6. Serve hot with mint chutney.
