  • Potatoes - 1/4 kg.
  • Tur Dal - 2 tsps.
  • Urad Dal -2 tsps.
  • Red Chilli powder- 1/2 tsp.
  • Asafoetida (hing)- 1 pinch.
  • Turmeric powder - 1 pinch.
  • oil - 2 tsp.
  • Salt to taste.
  • How to Make Easy Potato Podimas:

    1. Peel and dice the potatoes into quarter inch cubes. Then wash and dry them thoroughly.
    2. Heat tsp 1 oil in a pan and roast the tuvar and urad dal.
    3. Then grind it into a coarse powder.
    4. Now heat 1 tsp of oil in a pan and roast the potatoes until brown.
    5. Add the turmeric powder, red chilli powder, asafoetida and salt to it and saute for 5-8 mins.
    6. Now add the powdered tuvar and urad dal to the roasted potatoes.
    7. Mix thoroughly and serve hot with rotis.
