Ingredients

  • Rice - 1/2 cup
  • Milk - 4 cups
  • Condensed Milk - 1 cup
  • Sugar - 2 cups
  • Cashews -10
  • Cardamom powder -1/4 tsp
  • Saffron a little.
  • How to Make Easy Rice kheer:

    1. Pressure cook 1/2 cup rice (reserving 1 tbsp) with 1 cup water and 1/4 cup milk.
    2. Meanwhile, boil remaining milk, lower heat and add condensed milk.
    3. Soak one tbsp of raw-rice and 10 cashews in milk for 10 minutes. Grind it to a coarse paste. Add to the boiling milk.
    4. Add 2 cups of sugar, stir till it dissolves.
    5. Then add the cooked rice, and boil for a few more minutes. Finally add saffron, elaichi powder and cashews and almonds. Serve
