Ingredients

  • 2 cups - wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup - frozen cut spinach/Methi
  • 2-3 tsp - til seeds
  • 2-3 tsp - oil
  • 2-3 tsp - jeera seeds
  • 1 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - ginger/garlic paste
  • 1 tsp - hing
  • 3-4 tsp - chilli powder
  • coriander leaves (optional)
  • 1 tsp - lemon juice
  • sugar to taste
  • salt to taste

How to Make Easy Spinach-Methi Paratha

  • First, dry-roast the til seeds till golden brown.
  • Mix all the ingredients, except the wheat flour, with the spinach and cook in microwave on high for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • If using fresh methi leaves, they have to be chopped first and cooked with a little water in the microwave before mixing with the ingredients.
  • Then mix it with the wheat flour, adding the oil and a little warm water to give it the consistency of a chapati dough.
  • Adjust the salt, sugar, and chilli powder according to taste and leave aside for a few minutes.
  • Roll the dough out into chapatis and cook them on a hot iron tawa.
  • Enjoy with pickle/chutney.
