Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp - rava
  • 2 tbsp - Ragi flour
  • 1 tbsp - Maida
  • 1 - Egg (medium)
  • 1 - Green chilli (chopped)
  • 1 tsp - pepper powder
  • 1 tsp - Cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp - Ginger (chopped)
  • 1 tsp - coriander leaves/cilantro (chopped)
  • 1 tsp - Curry leaves (chopped)
  • Asafetida, a pinch
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup - water
  • 2 tbsp - Onion (chopped)
  • 2 tsp - Paneer (chopped) [optional]
  • Oil for frying
  • How to Make Egg rava dosa:

    1. Heat the tawa on a medium flame.
    2. In a bowl, add rava, raagi, maida flour and salt. Mix it well.
    3. Then, add the remaining ingredients like cumin seeds, ginger, hing, green chilli, pepper powder, cilantro and curry leaves.
    4. Mix them with the flour.
    5. Beat the egg and add it to the flour. Then, add water.
    6. Mix it well in to dosa batter consistency (a little on the watery side).
    7. Add chopped onions to the batter.
    8. Mix it.
    9. When the tawa is ready, take a ladle full of batter and spread it on the tawa. (Just like how you would to prepare dosa).
    10. Pour 1/2 a tsp of oil.
    11. Flip it once the bottom of the dosa is cooked. This usually takes 20-30 seconds.
    12. Leave the dosa for another 20-30 seconds and remove it from tawa.
    13. Serve it with hot sambar or chutney of your choice.
