  • 2 cup - all purpose flour
  • 1 cup - powdered Sugar
  • 1/2 cup - Butter
  • 2 tbsp - baking powder
  • 3 tbsp - Milk powder
  • 15 - almonds, slit in halves, skin removed
  • 4 tsp - Almond essence
  • How to Make Eggless Almond Nankhatai:

    1. Heat the oven to 350 Fahrenheit.
    2. Lightly coat a large baking tray with butter and dust with all-purpose flour and set aside
    3. Sift the flour, baking powder, and milk powder in a mixing bowl.
    4. Beat the butter and sugar in a separate bowl till light and fluffy
    5. Fold in the flour mixture into this and whisk again, in the same direction until it is smooth.
    6. Add the almond or vanilla essence.
    7. Now take some oil and grease your palms.
    8. Divide the dough into 12 equal portions, then flatten the dough and form a circular shapes
    9. Press the edges to form a smooth cookie.
    10. Tuck a sliver of almond into the centre of the cookie.
    11. Lay out each of the cookies on the tray at least 1-2 inches apart.
    12. Bake them for 10-15 mins, or until done.
