  • 1 cup - Maida
  • 3/4 cup - custard powder
  • 1/4 cup - thick Curd (adjust according to the dough consistency)
  • 1/2 cup - Butter
  • 1/2 cup - icing Sugar
  • 1 tbsp - Corn flour
  • 1/2 tsp - vanilla extract
  • mixed fruit jam, as required
  • How to Make Eggless jam biscuits:

    1. Mix maida, corn flour and custard powder, keep aside.
    2. Cream butter and sugar. Then add curd, vanilla essence and beat well until creamy.
    3. Add custard powder mixture to the butter-sugar mixture and make it into a soft dough.
    4. If your dough is sticky, add a little maida to make it a soft pliable dough.
    5. Roll the dough on a flat surface to about 5mm thickness.
    6. Then cut out shapes using cookie cutter.
    7. Collect the remaining dough and repeat the process.
    8. Preheat oven to 180 degree Celsius for 10 mins.
    9. Meanwhile make a small dent in the middle of all the biscuits using a small round lid and apply a very thin layer of jam in it.
    10. Arrange it in a baking tray lined with aluminium foil.
    11. Bake it for 12 - 15 mins at 180 degree Celsius.
    12. Allow it to cool and store them in an airtight container.
