  • 1.5 cups - Ragi flour
  • 1 cup - All-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp - Melted Butter
  • 1 tbsp - Active Dry yeast
  • 1 tbsp - Sugar
  • 1 tsp - Salt
  • 1/2 cup - Lukewarm water
  • 2 tsp - Cinnamon powder
  • 2 tbsp - Sugar
  • 2 tsp - Butter (at room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup - Chocolate chips (frozen for half an hour)
  • 3 tbsp - Confectioner's Sugar
  • How to Make Eggless Ragi Chocolate Chips Cinnamon Rolls:

    1. In a small bowl, add the active yeast, sugar and salt in lukewarm water, give a stir and keep aside. Let it sit for 5 minutes until it turns foamy.
    2. Take the all-purpose flour, ragi flour and melted butter in another large bowl.
    3. Gradually add the foamy yeast to the flour and knead into a dough.
    4. Dust the dough with enough flour and knead for a few minutes until it turns soft.
    5. Arrange the dough in a greased bowl and let it sit for two hours in a warm place.
    6. Once the dough doubles in volume, sprinkle some flour and knead again for a few minutes.
    7. Flatten the dough with a rolling pin, brush the butter over the flattened dough and sprinkle sugar, cinnamon powder and frozen chocolate chips over the dough.
    8. Roll the dough tightly as a loaf.
    9. Slice the dough into 8-9 thick slices.
    10. Arrange those slices over a greased square baking mould.
    11. Cover with a plastic wrap and let them sit again for an hour until they double in volume.
    12. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
    13. Arrange the baking pan in the middle rack and bake the uncooked rolls for 20-25 minutes until they turn golden brown.
    14. Let them cool.
    15. Mix the confectioner's sugar with a few drops of water to form a thick paste and drizzle over the rolls before serving.
