Ingredients

  • 1 cup - tur dal
  • 1 cup - Fenugreek leaves, chopped finely
  • 2 - green chillies, slit lengthwise
  • 2 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 2 - tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 - onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp - crushed Garlic
  • Salt to taste

How to Make

  • Wash the dal and cook it along with the fenugreek leaves, tomato, chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and onion with enough water in a pressure cooker
  • When done open the pressure cooker, add salt and some more water and mash well
  • In another pan, heat oil splutter the mustard seeds
  • Add the broken red chillies and mashed garlic and fry for some time
  • Pour over the cooked dal and fenugreek
  • Serve with rice
