Ingredients

  • Milk powder - 2 cups
  • Almonds, powdered - 200 gms
  • Sugar - 1 cup
  • Saffron, dissolved in 4 tbsp. water - 1/2 tsp
  • Water - 4 cups
  • For garnishing:
  • Almonds, blanched and slivered - 20
  • Pistachios, blanched and slivered - 20
  • Raisins - 4 tbsp
  • Green Cardamom powder - 1 tsp

How to Make

  • Mix water and milk powder.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Add the saffron and let it simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  • Sprinkle the ground almond in batches so that no lumps are formed.
  • Cook till you get a sauce of dropping consistency. This will require at least 10-12 minutes.
  • Add half cup of milk if required.
  • Now add the sugar and simmer for 5 mins.
  • Remove from fire, cool and add cardamom powder and garnish with raisins and nuts.
