Why go out for finger chips when you can make them easily at home, sitting at the window and enjoying them with some tea with your loved ones? Finger chips are not only easy to cook, but are a favourite with people of all ages, adults and kids alike, and make for a great finger food appetizer for smaller gatherings, an evening with friends, and even at a party. Firstly, about ½ a kg of potatoes need to be peeled and cut into flinger-like, eve-sized pieces. Next, these cut pieces need to be put into salted water and be washed once or twice at least. After the pieces have been washed, they need to be spread over a towel to remove any excess moisture that they might have. Next, set up a pan for deep frying them on medium to high heat. Deep fry the pieces in batches in the hot oil until they assume a beautiful golden-brown colour. Sprinkle them with some pepper and some salt and dip them in some tomato ketchup or a herbed mayo dip and enjoy.
