Ingredients

  • 1 liter - milk
  • 1/2 cup - sugar
  • 1/2 cup - rice
  • Essence vanilla or rose
  • Dry fruits - Pista, Cashews, Badams

How to Make Firni

  • Soak the rice for 2 hrs. Dry the rice completely
  • Grind the rice to fine powder
  • Boil the milk, on high flame and stir continuously
  • Add sugar, essence and rice powder.
  • Now on low flame, allow it to cook for 15 minutes till thickening
  • Allow it to cool
  • Garnish with the dry fruits
  • Chill for 2 hrs before serving. Serve hot or cold as desired
