Ingredients

  • 12 slices - fish
  • 1/4 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 3 tbsp - cooking oil
  • 1 tsp - Lime juice
  • 1 - medium Onion
  • 1 tsp - Garlic paste
  • 1 tsp - Ginger paste
  • 1 - medium Tomato
  • 1/2 cup - Tomato puree
  • 1/4 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1 tsp - cumin powder
  • 1 tsp - Garam Masala powder
  • Salt as required
  • 1 cup - water
  • 1/4 cup - grated Coconut
  • A few sprigs - Coriander leaves
  • How to Make Fish Cooked in Masala:

    1. Cut fish into slices.
    2. Marinate for an hour in 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp red chilli powder and 1 tsp lime juice.
    3. Heat oil in a pan and saute the onions till golden brown.
    4. Add ginger-garlic paste and simmer for 2 mins
    5. Add tomatoes and simmer for another 3 mins
    6. Add tomato puree, all the powders and salt.
    7. Cook till oil separates and add a cup of water
    8. Add fish and cook till the fish is done
    9. Garnish with grated coconut and coriander leaves
