  • 2lb - fish
  • 1 can - coconut milk
  • 3-4 - dried red chillies
  • 1 tsp - turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp - coriander powder
  • 2 cloves - garlic
  • 1/4 - finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 tsp - tamarind concentrate
  • Chopped coriander leaves for garnishing
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp- oil

How to Make Fish Curry with Coconut Milk

  • Wash the fish and smear salt and keep aside.
  • In a blender, add the rest of the ingredients (except onions and tamarind) and grind until smooth.
  • In a saucepan, put 2 tablespoons of oil and when hot, add onions and saute until brown.
  • Add the blended mixture and bring to a boil.
  • Add the tamarind juice or concentrate. Again bring to a boil and then add the fish. Bring to boil and cook until fish is done.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice.
