Ingredients

  • 4 pieces - King fish (vanjaram)
  • 3/4 tsp - chilli powder (Reduce or add as per your taste)
  • Turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 tbsp - gingili oil
  • Curry leaves, a few
  • 2 tsp - Lemon juice

How to Make Fish fry mali fry

  • Clean and wash the fish thoroughly with turmeric powder and salt water.
  • Mix chilli powder, salt, turmeric powder and lemon juice. Marinate the fish nicely with this mix.
  • Put it in a freezer and marinate for 6-8 hours or overnight. The longer you marinate, the better.
  • In a tawa, add 1 tbsp of gingili oil and when it is hot, add curry leaves and fry.
  • Then, add fish and fry until it is crispy.
  • Add more oil while frying.
  • Flip at frequent intervals to ensure that it is crisp on both sides.
  • This process will take 8-10 minutes on a medium flame.
  • Squeeze lime and garnish with coriander. Serve hot.
