Ingredients

  • 1/4 kg - thinly cut fish slices (bone less)
  • 2 tbsp - Lime juice
  • 1/2 tsp - freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup - spring onions, chopped
  • 1/4 cup - mushrooms, chopped
  • 2 green chillies, minced
  • 1 tsp - ginger, mince
  • 1 tsp - soya sauce
  • salt to taste
  • For Sauce:
  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • 1/2 cup - onions, minced
  • 1 tbsp - garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp - kashmiri chilli powder1 tbsp - Vinegar
  • 2 tbsp - Tomato ketchup
  • 1 tsp - Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp - MSG, optional
  • 1/2 cup - water
  • 2 tsp - Corn flour
  • salt to taste
  • How to Make Fish in Chilli Garlic Sauce:

    1. Wash the fish and pat dry. Sprinkle with lime juice and pepper and keep aside for 15 minutes.
    2. Combine rest of the ingredients together. Spread 1/2 of them in a shallow glass dish.
    3. Place the fish slices over them. Sprinkle remaining mixture on top.
    4. Cover and cook on high for 4-5 minutes.
    5. Meanwhile prepare the sauce on the gas burner.
    6. For Sauce:
    7. Mix chili powder with vinegar.
    8. Heat oil in a fry pan. Fry garlic till brown. Add onions fry till brown.
    9. Add the chili paste and fry for 1/2 minute. Add salt and tomato ketchup.
    10. Mix corn flour with water and add to the pan. Add salt, sugar and MSG (optional)
    11. Cook stirring till the sauce thickens.
    12. When the fish is cooked pour the hot sauce over it.
    13. Cook on full power covered for 2 more minutes. Serve hot with fried rice or noodles.
