Ingredients

  • 350 gm - fish fillet (cut into cubes)
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Marinade:
  • 2 tbsp - flour
  • 1 tbsp - Corn flour
  • 1/2 tsp - white pepper powder
  • 1 tbsp - Ginger paste
  • 1 tbsp - Lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp - Corn flour for dusting
  • 1/2 cup - Spring onions
  • 8 thin slices of Ginger
  • 1 cup - fish stock
  • 1/4 tsp - ajinomoto pinch Turmeric powder or yellow food coloring
  • 1/4 tsp - white pepper powder
  • 1 tbsp - Lemon rind, grated
  • 1 tbsp - Lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp - Corn flour, dissolved in half cup water
  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • 1 tsp - Honey
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Fish in Lemon Sauce:

    1. Marinate fish with the marinade ingredients and refrigerate for an hour.
    2. Dust with corn flour and deep fry. Keep warm.
    3. To make lemon sauce:
    4. Heat oil in a pan. Add the spring onions and sliced ginger. Saute for 30 seconds.
    5. Add stock, ajinomoto, grated lemon rind, salt and turmeric powder.
    6. Simmer for 30 seconds.
    7. Add the corn flour and honey and let it simmer for another 30 seconds.
    8. Now add the lemon juice, check seasoning and if required add more.
    9. Place dish on a serving platter and pour the sauce over it.
