Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg - fish, cut into thick slices
  • 3 tbsp - oil
  • 2 tsp - ginger garlic paste
  • 3 - tomatoes, pureed
  • 2 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - cumin powder
  • salt
  • 1/4 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp - vinegar
  • 3 - onions, sliced finely

How to Make Fish in tomato gravy

  • Wash the fish and keep it aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan and saute the onions for a few minutes.
  • Add the ginger garlic paste, chilli powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder and salt and fry for a few minutes.
  • Add the tomato puree and vinegar and mix it well.
  • Fry for a few minutes.
  • Add 1/2 cup of water and bring it to a boil.
  • Drop in the fish pieces and mix it well.
  • Simmer on low heat till the fish is cooked.
  • Serve it with bread or chapattis.
