Ingredients

  • 8 fillet - Pomfrets
  • 4 - Onions
  • 1 tsp - Cumin
  • 6 - Red chillies
  • 4 - Cardamoms
  • 4 - Cloves
  • 1/4 - nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric
  • 6 slices - Garlic
  • 1 small piece - Ginger
  • 1/2 - Coconut
  • 1 bunch - Coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp - Salt

How to Make Fish Masala in Coconut Milk

  • Wash fillet, apply salt and keep them aside.
  • Grind finely all the above ingredients, except coconut, onion and coriander.
  • Grate coconut, add 2 cups hot water and squeeze out all the milk.
  • Chop onions finely and fry in ¼ cup oil until brown; add the ground masala and fry for a while, then add the coconut milk and bring to a boil.
  • Wash the fish and add.
  • Simmer on slow fire until the fish is cooked and the gravy is thick
  • Add 1 tbsp. of lemon juice.
  • Serve sprinkled with chopped coriander.
