Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg - fish
  • 1 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 cup - oil
  • 1 cup - onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp - pepper powder
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 8 - Garlic flakes, peeled
  • 1 cup - coconut, grated
  • Salt as per taste
  • 2 tsp - Lemon juice

How to Make Fish Pittu

  • Cut the fish into pieces.
  • Mix turmeric, pepper powder and salt.
  • Heat oil and fry onion, ginger-garlic paste till golden brown.
  • Add grated coconut and salt and let it cook on slow flame.
  • Add fish and let it cook.
  • When it cools a little add lemon juice.
