Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg - fish pieces
  • 1 cup - tomatoes chopped
  • 1 cup - tomato puree
  • 1 - potato, peeled and chopped
  • 1 - onion, chopped
  • 2 - garlic flakes
  • 3 - green chillies
  • 1/2 inch - ginger
  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • 1/4 tsp - mustard seeds
  • 1/4 cup - white vinegar
  • 1 tsp - Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp - black pepper powder
  • Salt as per taste
  • Chopped coriander leaves

How to Make Fish Stew

  • Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds; let them splutter.
  • Add onion and saute till golden brown.
  • Add tomatoes and saute for 5 minutes.
  • Add ginger-garlic-chilli paste.
  • Add tomato puree and simmer for 2 minutes.
  • Add vinegar, salt, pepper powder, potatoes and sauce.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Add fish pieces and cook for 10 minutes (add water if required).
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot.
