  • 1.3 cups - Flaked coconut
  • 2/3 cup - Sugar
  • 2 - Eggs
  • 1/2 tsp - Vanilla essence
  • A pinch of salt

How to Make Flaked Coconut Macaroons

  • Separate yolks from whites.
  • Beat egg whites with a pinch of salt and vanilla essence till soft peaks form.
  • Slowly add sugar and continue to beat till stiff.
  • Gently fold in coconut.
  • Using a teaspoon, drop a little mixture onto a greased cookie sheet.
  • Bake in moderately slow oven at 180 degrees C. for about 20 minutes.
