Ingredients

  • Gajar - 1 Kg
  • Milk (full fat) - 1 Kg
  • Sugar (ground) - 300 g
  • Condensed milk- 200 g
  • Elaichi powder
  • Saffron flakes

How to Make Flavoursome Gajar Halwa

  • Peel gajar, wash them thoroughly and grind them in a grinder.
  • Take a kadai or a pan. Add ground gajar and add enough milk to immerse it.
  • Cook in high heat with occasional stirring till it boils.
  • Now simmer, cook gajar on low flame with occasional stirring and keep on adding milk as needed.
  • Cook till gajar has softened.
  • Now add sugar, elaichi, condensed milk.
  • Cook further till it becomes a soft ball. Add saffron flakes.
  • Garnish with almonds and cashew nuts. Serve hot.
