How to Make Flavoursome Ridge gourd chutney

  • Fry the urad dal and the red chillies and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a kadai, add the chopped ridge gourd, onion, tomato, garlic, ginger and tamarind.
  • Saute well and add the coconut.
  • Coarse grind all the above with the fried urad dal and red chillies.
  • Season with sauteed mustard seeds, urad dal and curry leaves.
  • Serve with idli, dosa or chapatti.
