  • 1 cup - Coriander seeds
  • 1/4 cup - Channa dal
  • 2 tbsp - Urad Dal
  • 1 tsp - Toor Dal
  • 1/4 cup - Flax seeds
  • 10 - Red Chillies
  • 1/4 cup - rolled oats
  • Salt
  • 1/2 tsp - Asafetida powder
  • 1/4 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • How to Make Flaxseeds and Oats Karamadhu Podi:

    1. Dry roast the channa dal, urad dal, toor dal, dry red chillies until golden brown.
    2. Add the coriander seeds and dry roast until the aroma comes out.
    3. Add the rolled oats and flax seeds with asafoetida powder and turmeric powder, stir for few minutes and switch off the stove.
    4. Add salt as desired to the dry roasted ingredients and grind to a coarse powder.
    5. This powder is used for making any dry curries with any sort of vegetables.
    6. Conserve in an air-tight box and refrigerate.
