  • 1 cup - Coriander seeds
  • 1/4 cup - Channa dal
  • 2 tbsp - Urad dal
  • 1 tsp - Toor dal
  • 1/4 cup - Flax seeds
  • 10 - Red chillies
  • 1/4 cup - Rolled oats
  • Salt
  • 1/2 tsp - Asafetida powder
  • 1/4 tsp - Turmeric powder

How to Make Flaxseeds and Oats Karamadhu Podi

  • Dry roast the channa dal, urad dal, toor dal, dry red chillies until golden brown.
  • Add the coriander seeds and dry roast until the aroma comes out.
  • Add the rolled oats and flax seeds with asafoetida powder and turmeric powder, stir for few minutes and switch off the stove.
  • Add salt as desired to the dry roasted ingredients and grind to a coarse powder.
  • This powder is used for making any dry curries with any sort of vegetables.
  • Conserve in an air-tight box and refrigerate.
