Ingredients

  • 2 cups - rice cooked
  • 2/3 - green chillies finely cut
  • 2/3 - onions (large) finely chopped
  • 1 - potato (cut into small pieces)
  • 1/2 tsp -mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp - cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1 - Bay leaf
  • Oil as required
  • Handful of coriander leaves chopped finely
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Fondnicha bhaat

  • Heat oil in a vessel. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds.
  • Add green chillies, onion and salt.
  • Once onion turns pink, add potatoes and cover with lid.
  • Once potatoes are cooked, add the cooked rice and cover with lid for 2/3 mins. Sprinkle coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot.
