Ingredients

  • 2 cups - Rice cooked
  • 2/3 - Green chillies finely cut
  • 2/3 - Onions (large) finely chopped
  • 1 - Potato (cut into small pieces)
  • 1/2 tsp -mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp - Cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1 - Bay Leaf
  • Oil as required
  • Handful of Coriander leaves chopped finely
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Fondnicha bhaat:

    1. Heat oil in a vessel. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds.
    2. Add green chillies, onion and salt.
    3. Once onion turns pink, add potatoes and cover with lid.
    4. Once potatoes are cooked, add the cooked rice and cover with lid for 2/3 mins. Sprinkle coriander leaves.
    5. Serve hot.
