Ingredients

  • 1 - Medium onion
  • 10- Pepper corns
  • 1/4 cup - Coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp - Jeera (Cumin seeds)
  • 1 inch - Ginger
  • 6 - Green chillies
  • 3 - Cinnamon
  • 3 pods - Cardamoms
  • 6 - Cloves
  • 6 flakes - Garlic
  • Salt to taste
  • 1- Large chicken
  • 1/2 cup - Ghee
  • 1/2 kg - Basmati rice

How to Make Fowl Biryani

  • Clean and cut the chicken into pieces.
  • Then grind the masala into a paste.
  • Wash the rice and keep aside.
  • Now heat ghee in a pan and saute the onion, then add the ground masala, stir and fry well.
  • Now add the chicken and stir, and let it cook in its own gravy until tender and dry. Keep aside.
  • Then heat the remaining ghee and slightly fry the rice to brown, then pour hot water till about 2 inches above the rice. Add the spices and salt, stir and cover.
  • When the rice is almost cooked and dry, add the chicken and mix well. Cook until dry.
  • Serve with sweet chutney.
