Ingredients

  • 1 - Medium Onion
  • 10- Pepper Corns
  • 1/4 cup - Coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp - Jeera (Cumin seeds)
  • 1 inch - Ginger
  • 6 - Green chillies
  • 3 - Cinnamon
  • 3 pods - Cardamoms
  • 6 - Cloves
  • 6 flakes - Garlic
  • Salt to taste
  • 1- Large Chicken
  • 1/2 cup - Ghee
  • 1/2 kg - Basmati Rice
  • How to Make Fowl Biryani:

    1. Clean and cut the chicken into pieces.
    2. Then grind the masala into a paste.
    3. Wash the rice and keep aside.
    4. Now heat ghee in a pan and saute the onion, then add the ground masala, stir and fry well.
    5. Now add the chicken and stir, and let it cook in its own gravy until tender and dry. Keep aside.
    6. Then heat the remaining ghee and slightly fry the rice to brown, then pour hot water till about 2 inches above the rice. Add the spices and salt, stir and cover.
    7. When the rice is almost cooked and dry, add the chicken and mix well. Cook until dry.
    8. Serve with sweet chutney.
