Ingredients

  • 1 - Pastry sheet
  • 1 cup - Apple sauce
  • 2 - Apples, sliced
  • 2 tsp - Sugar + 1 tsp sugar, for sprinkling
  • 2 tsp - Gelatin powder
  • 1/4 cup - Water

How to Make French Apple Tart

  • Take a round baking pan or tart mould, place the pastry sheet inside and prick it with a fork.
  • Now spread the apple sauce inside the pastry sheet. Layer the apples and sprinkle the sugar over the apple pieces.
  • Preheat the oven to 350 F and bake the tart in middle rack for 30 minutes.
  • Keep aside and let them cool. Make a thin syrup with sugar, gelatine powder and water.
  • Once the gelatine powder gets well dissolved, pour this syrup over the apple tart and keep in fridge for at least two hours.
  • Serve them chilled.
