Ingredients

  • 1 - Pastry sheet
  • 1 cup - Apple sauce
  • 2 - Apples, sliced
  • 2 tsp - Sugar + 1 tsp Sugar, for sprinkling
  • 2 tsp - Gelatin powder
  • 1/4 cup - Water
  • How to Make French Apple Tart:

    1. Take a round baking pan or tart mould, place the pastry sheet inside and prick it with a fork.
    2. Now spread the apple sauce inside the pastry sheet. Layer the apples and sprinkle the sugar over the apple pieces.
    3. Preheat the oven to 350 F and bake the tart in middle rack for 30 minutes.
    4. Keep aside and let them cool. Make a thin syrup with sugar, gelatine powder and water.
    5. Once the gelatine powder gets well dissolved, pour this syrup over the apple tart and keep in fridge for at least two hours.
    6. Serve them chilled.
