  • 150 g - whole Wheat flour
  • 150 g - unbleached bread flour
  • 6- 10 hours old French baguette dough - 115 g
  • 275 ml - warm water
  • 1 tsp - salt
  • 2 tsp - Olive oil
  • 2 tsp - dried Yeast
  • How to Make French Baked Bread:

    1. Crumble the old dough in a large bowl, add the remaining ingredients along with water to make it smooth.
    2. Knead the dough for 5 to 10 minutes to make elastic.
    3. Place the dough in a clean and oiled bowl, cover with a cling film.
    4. Allow it to rise in a warm place for an hour.
    5. Take the dough, punch the air back, cover the bowl and allow it to rise again for an hour.
    6. Take the dough, punch out air from it.
    7. Divide the dough into two equal balls.
    8. Stretch each ball in to a baguette shape, place it in a floured and pleated towel.
    9. Cover the dough loosely and allow it to rise for 30 minutes, until it gets puffed up.
    10. Preheat the oven to 230 degree Celsius.
    11. Take the dough, cut diagonally half way through the dough alternatively on both sides.
    12. Place a dish with boiling water in the bottom of the oven.
    13. Bake the breads in the preheated oven for 20 minutes until it looks crusty and brown at the top.
    14. Serve the bread warm with soup and salad.
