Ingredients

  • 3 boiled potatoes, mashed well
  • 1 cup - boiled fish without bones
  • 2 onions, minced well
  • 2 green chillies, minced
  • 1 tsp - pepper powder
  • 1 tsp - chopped Mint leaves
  • 2 eggs, beaten well
  • 3 tbsp - bread crumbs
  • 3 tbsp - oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tsp - Tomato sauce
  • 2 tsp - Butter

How to Make Fricadelles (Portuguese Steamed Fish)

  • Mix the fish together with the potatoes, onions, green chillies, pepper powder, salt, tomato sauce, 1 beaten egg, butter and mint.
  • Place this mixture in flat pan.
  • Brush all over with the remaining beaten egg on top.
  • Steam this mixture in a suitable pan or a pressure cooker for about 15 minutes.
  • Serve hot with bread.
