Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp - oil
  • 1 cup - Toor Dal
  • 1 cup - Dried red chillies
  • 1 cup - coriander powder
  • 1 cup - Mustard Seeds
  • 1 cup - Urad Dal
  • 1/2 - Onion
  • Garlic chopped
  • 1/2 tsp - Hing
  • salt and water as required
  • How to Make Fried Dal:

    1. Add 3 tbsp of oil in a pressure cooker and heat on a low flame.
    2. Add toor dal, dried red chillies, and coriander powder together.
    3. Make the toor dal light brown .
    4. Add water and allow it cook for 5-15 mins.
    5. After cooling, grind it. Make a fine paste.
    6. Heat oil in the pan and add mustard seeds, urad dal, onion, garlic and make it transparent.
    7. Add onion, dal, hing, salt and water. Allow to boil for 15 mins.
