Ingredients

  • 4 - eggs (hard boiled)
  • 1 - Onion (medium)
  • 2 - Green chillies (finely chopped)
  • 5-6 - Cashew nuts (finely chopped)
  • A few - Raisins
  • 5 - Boiled Potatoes (big, mashed well)
  • 1 sprig - Coriander leaves (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp - Sugar
  • Salt - to taste
  • 1 tsp - Jeera powder
  • 1 tsp - Dhania powder
  • 1 - Egg (for coating)
  • Bread crumbs - for coating
  • Oil - for deep frying
  • How to Make Fried Deviled Eggs:

    1. Shell the eggs and cut them neatly in half.
    2. Carefully remove the yolks.
    3. To the yolks, add chopped onions, green chillies, chopped cashew nuts, raisins, chopped coriander leaves, sugar, and salt and mix well.
    4. Fill this mixture back in the egg white halves, taking care not to break them.
    5. To the mashed potato, add dhania-jeera powder and salt.
    6. Heat 2 tsp oil in a kadai.
    7. Fry the mashed potatoes till they turn a little brown.
    8. Take a fistful of this potato mixture and cover one egg half entirely.
    9. Roll in the beaten egg and coat with bread crumbs.
    10. Prepare all the eggs in a similar manner.
    11. Deep fry till golden brown on all sides.
    12. Serve hot with lemon wedges and onion rings.
