Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp - bread crumbs
  • 1 tsp - Red Chilli paste
  • 4 tbsp - cooking oil
  • 500 g - fish
  • 1 tsp - salt
  • 1 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - Vinegar
  • How to Make Fried Fish - All Types:

    1. Clean the fish and cut it.
    2. If using mackerels or sardines, cut it into slits.
    3. If using surmai, no need to slit.
    4. Mix red chilli paste, turmeric powder, vinegar and salt, and apply it on the fish and keep aside for some time.
    5. Coat the fish with bread crumbs or rava (optional).
    6. In a flat frying pan, heat oil and lay the fish side by side to fill the pan.
    7. Fry the fish on both sides until done.
