  • Cauliflower florets from one medium sized cauliflower
  • Besan (Chickpea flour) - 2 cups
  • Red Chilli Powder - 2 tsp
  • Asafoetida - two or three pinches
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil to fry
  • A few curry leaves

How to Make Fried Florets

  • Mix the besan with enough water, red chilli powder, hing, curry leaves and salt to taste.
  • Add the washed florets to this and mix the ingredients well.
  • All the florets should be covered with the besan flour. The mixture should not be too watery.
  • Make small balls out of this mixture and deep fry. Serve hot.
