Ingredients

  • semolina (Rava) - 1 cup
  • Rice flour - 1/4 cup
  • slightly over ripe Bananas - 1 cup, mashed
  • powdered Jaggery - 1/2 cup
  • salt - 1/8 tsp
  • oil - to deep fry

How to Make Fried Modak

  • Mix all the ingredients except the oil together.
  • Add little water and make a dough, the consistency of very thick paste.
  • Drop spoonful in moderately hot oil and fry till rich brown.
