  • 1 cup - yellow moong dal
  • A pinch of soda bicarbonate
  • salt to taste
  • oil to deep fry
  • How to Make Fried Moong Dal:

    1. Wash dal and soak overnight in plenty of water with soda.
    2. Drain and spread on a thick clean towel to absorb excess water.
    3. Heat oil well in a frying pan. Add some dal and fry till whitish and almost crisp.
    4. Drain, and put on kitchen paper to soak excess oil.
    5. Repeat for remaining dal.
    6. Take in a large plate.
    7. Add all other ingredients and mix till well coated.
    8. Cool completely before storing in an airtight jar.
