Ingredients

  • 15 ounce can pumpkin
  • 1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ginger
  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

How to Make Frozen Pumpkin

  • Soften the ice cream.
  • Combine pumpkin and other ingredients.
  • Fold ice cream with pumpkin mixture.
  • Pour into a 9" by 13" pan.
  • Top with chopped nuts.
  • Freeze overnight.
  • This can also be put together weeks ahead.
  • Warm at room temperature slightly before serving so pieces can easily be cut.
  • Top with whipped cream if desired.
