Ingredients

  • roasted vermicelli - 2 cup
  • cashew nuts - 3 tbsp, split
  • raisins - 3 tbsp
  • cinnamon 2 pieces
  • orange juice - 1.5 cup
  • water - 1.5 cup
  • sugar - 1/2 cup
  • apple - 1/2 cup, peeled and chopped
  • pineapple - 1/2 cup, peeled and chopped
  • seedless green grapes - 1/2 cup
  • seedless black grapes - 1/2 cup
  • ghee or oil - 3 tbsp
  • cloves 3

How to Make Fruit and Nut Vermicelli

  • Heat oil in non-stick pan.
  • Add cloves and cinnamon.
  • After few seconds, add cashew nuts.
  • Just as they begin to turn pale brown, add raisins.
  • When the raisins puff up, add vermicelli, orange juice and water.
  • Cover and cook on mode flame till all the liquid is absorbed.
  • Add sugar. Cook stirring till sugar is dissolved.
  • Continue to cook till the sugar thickens and coats vermicelli (like halwa).
  • Add the fruits, mix well and remove from fire.
  • Serve hot or cold.
