Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp - Tamarind paste
  • 3 level tsp - Sugar
  • 200 ml - Water
  • 200 ml - Mixed chopped fruit
  • 5 ml (1 level tsp) - Chilli powder
  • 5 ml - Roasted cumin seeds powder
  • 1/2 level tsp - Black salt (sanchal)
  • Salt

How to Make Fruit Chutney

  • Mix the tamarind paste, sugar and water and put on the boil.
  • Boil for 3 minutes, then remove from the heat.
  • Add the fruit, chilli powder, cumin seed powder and black salt.
  • Season with salt.
  • Makes about 300 ml.
