Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup - plain flour
  • 1/2 tsp - baking powder
  • 1/8 tsp - baking soda
  • 1/8 tsp - salt
  • 1/8 tsp - cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp - nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp - white butter
  • 1/2 cup - ripe banana
  • 3 tbsp - granulated sugar
  • 1 - egg
  • 1 tbsp - milk
  • 50 g - dark sweet cherries (chopped and pitted)
  • 4 tbsp - chopped nuts (soaked and peeled almonds)

How to Make Fruit Delight Cake

  • Mix the dry ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
  • Put the white butter in a large casserole and cook for 30 seconds on HIGH so that it melts.
  • Add banana, sugar, egg and milk to the butter and mix well.
  • Add this mixture to the mixture of dry ingredients and mix again.
  • Add cherries and nuts.
  • Pour the batter into the casserole.
  • Cook for 5 mins on HIGH, giving the dish a half turn halfway through the cooking time.
  • Place the dish aside to for 5 mins to cool.
  • Place a plate over the casserole and turn the cake over onto the plate.
  • Turn the cake right-side up.
