  • 500 gm - carrots, scraped and core removed
  • 1 liter Milk
  • 120 gm - malai
  • 500 gm - Sugar
  • 120 gm - rice, powdered
  • 120 gm - Ghee
  • 60 gm - almonds, blanched and shredded
  • 60 gm - raisins, cut into 2 pieces

How to Make Gajar Halwa Al Kism

  • Scrape the carrots, cut and remove both ends.
  • Then cut into halves lengthwise, and remove the hard core from the middle.
  • Cut into 1" pieces.
  • Boil carrots in milk.
  • When tender, dry the milk completely.
  • Grind carrots finely.
  • In a kadhai, heat the ghee, add carrots, malai, sugar and rice powder and cook on low fire, stirring regularly till of thick consistency.
  • Serve at once. While serving, dress with almonds and raisins.
