Ingredients

  • 500 g - finely ground Carrots
  • 500 g - shelled Green peas
  • 250 g - small prawns, shelled and deveined
  • 1 tbsp - ground Cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp - Garam Masala
  • 1 tsp - pepper powder
  • 1 tbsp - Sugar
  • 5 - red chillies, powdered
  • 3 - green chillies, minced
  • a few sprigs Coriander leaves
  • salt to taste
  • How to Make Gajjar Chingiri:

    1. Heat 4 tbsps. oil and add prawns and fry till dry and brown.
    2. Put in vegetables, salt, sugar and all the spices and little water.
    3. Cover tightly and cook over a slow fire till the prawns and vegetables are cooked and dry.
    4. Remove from fire and serve garnished with minced green chillies and sprigs of coriander leaves.
