  • 500 g - minced meat
  • 100 g - raw papaya
  • 20 g - coconut
  • 3 tbsp - poppy seeds
  • 3 full tbsp - ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp - garam masala powder
  • 2 tbsp - besan (gram flour)
  • Red chilli powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for shallow frying

How to Make Galawat Ke Kebabs

  • Grind the papaya.
  • Mix ground papaya, ginger-garlic paste and salt with minced meat.
  • Set aside for 5 hours (or overnight).
  • It will feel soft to the touch when done.
  • Cut and fry onions.
  • Make a paste of coconut and khaskhas.
  • Saute the besan without oil on tawa or frying pan.
  • After marination, mix garam masala, red chilli powder, coconut-khaskhas paste, sauteed besan and fried onions into the marinated mixture.
  • Make patties (tikkis) of this mixture and shallow fry until they are brown.
  • Enjoy hot kebabs with green coriander chutney or tomato ketchup.
