  • 3 tbsp - margarine (you can replace it with Butter as well)
  • 2.5 tsp - Onion powder
  • 2 tsp - Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp - Corn syrup
  • 3 tbsp - all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp - - white pepper
  • Salt - to taste
  • 1/2 cup - vegetable broth
  • 1.5 cups - water
  • 3/4 cup - cooked vegetables (carrots, corn)
  • 1 pint - half and half cream/milk
  • 1 tbsp - fresh parsley/cilantro, finely chopped
  • How to Make Garlic Flavored Creamy Vegetable Soup:

    1. In a saucepan, add water and cook the vegetables until tender.
    2. Add margarine to a saucepot and allow it to melt on a medium flame.
    3. When it is 90 per cent done, reduce the flame to low (really low).
    4. Add garlic powder, onion powder, corn syrup and stir it for a minute to blend the mixes with the margarine.
    5. Ensure that you don't let it turn brown.
    6. Then add flour, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp white pepper, broth, water, vegetables and stir it well.
    7. Let it cook on a low flame for the next 3 minutes.
    8. Add 1 pint of half and half cream/milk, stir and let it cook for the next 10 minutes on a low flame or until the desired consistency is reached.
    9. Keep stirring in between to ensure that the layer does not form on the milk.
    10. The broth contains salt, so taste the soup and add the remaining salt as per your taste.
    11. Then add 1 tsp white pepper, stir and serve it hot.
