Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup - Cake Flour
  • 1/2 cup - all purpose flour
  • 1 cup - semolina
  • 1 cup - clarified butter, chilled
  • 2/3 cup - confectioners' Sugar
  • 3/4 tsp - Orange blossom water
  • 30 blanched Almonds
  • How to Make Ghrahbey Cookies:

    1. Preheat oven to 275 degrees F.
    2. Sift together the cake flour, all-purpose flour, semolina and set aside.
    3. Beat the butter until it turns fluffy.
    4. Then beat for 2 more minutes while sprinkling over the orange blossom water and confectioners' sugar.
    5. Fold in the flour mixture gradually.
    6. Then refrigerate the soft dough in a covered bowl for about 10 minutes.
    7. Shape the dough into one-inch diamonds and place them 1/2 inch apart on an ungreased baking sheet.
    8. Then place an almond in the centre of each cookie.
    9. Bake for 30 minutes.
    10. Let the cookies cool for a couple of hours.
