  • 1/4 cup - Barley
  • 6 cups - Water
  • 1 inch - Ginger (crushed)
  • 1 tbsp - Lime rinds
  • 1/4cup - Lime juice
  • Sugar or Honey
  • How to Make Ginger and Lime Barley Water:

    1. Cook the barley in hot water.
    2. Bring to boil and put the flame in simmer.
    3. Add the crushed ginger, lime rinds to the cooking barley and let it cook for half an hour or use pressure cooker for quick cooking.
    4. Turn off the stove.
    5. Let it sit for few minutes, until it cools.
    6. Strain the water from the cooked barley. Add the lime juice, sugar or honey as per need.
    7. Give a stir and serve chilled with ice cubes.
